Digital Game-Based Learning for Information Technology: An Exploratory Analysis

Keeping students engaged and motivated is a challenge. Digital game-based learning considered an approach that can help towards achieving this goal. The study aimed to understand the influence digital (DGBL) has on code in Information Technology. This used intervention of teach grade eight learners programming three schools prior COVID-19. Questionnaires focus group interviews were gather students’ backgrounds experiences. 89 educators participated study. overall attitude DGBL positive with high mean score 4.77. Learning real-world skills, developing simple games, as was done study, equip one tools essential for success workplace. Keywords: (DGBL), programming, computational thinking motivation
